RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
The Religious Ethos is integral to our school life. Religious Education is aimed at helping pupils grow in faith and face the problems of life. It is a broad-based inclusive approach which does not seek to impose a particular doctrine.
Worship is an important part of school life. Church services are organised at the beginning and end of each school term. Prayers are said each morning, at noon when the Angelus Bell rings and at the end of each day.
TESTS AND EXAMINATIONS
Continuous evaluation forms the basis of assessment – this includes class work, homework, projects, tests and exams. Tests and exams contain factual recall, application of knowledge and analysis skills.
HOMEWORK
Homework is set every day for pupils to complete. Homework diaries are used to record homework. Parents are requested to check that homework is done and to provide an environment conducive to constructive work.
