Music School A school without music is a school without a soul. Our Director of Music, Mrs. Ilza Stevens and her team of teachers ensure that music reaches into every corner of our institution. Our aim is to offer quality tuition in the Arts to the community. St Dominic's Music School offers piano, keyboard, recorder, drums, acoustic guitar, base-guitar, flute, marimbas, voice training, music theory and “Music for little ones”. The school has five choirs, with the addition of our recently added Chamber Choir which includes selected pupils in the High School and the St Dominic's Quintet.
Classes are open to the public and not restricted to St Dominics pupils. We aim to establish various ensemble groups to give students the opportunity of experience the joy of making music with their peers.
St Dominic's also offers Music as a Matric subject. Keyboard, guitar and art are incorporated into our Arts and Culture curriculum and are compulsory for all pupils.
