Boarding House

The St Agnes Boarding House offers your child a safe and disciplined, but loving environment where a child is able to thrive. Children are monitored carefully with regard to their academics, extra-mural activities and social interaction with their peers. The termly house fund is used to provide structured trips for boarders to places of interest, as well as provide healthy entertainment for the children on weekends.

The boarding house prefects and seniors mentor the new children in a special programme run at the beginning of the year. St Dominic’s has a strict anti-bullying campaign and a careful eye is kept to detect possible problems arising in this regard.

Our geographical location, being a small town in the Free State, means our boarder and day children are less exposed to the kind of peer pressure found in larger centres.
